Kathmandu Valley on the sixth day of lock-down

The country on Sunday entered the sixth day of the government-enforced lockdown to stop the outbreak of coronavirus ( COVID-19).

The government imposed a weeklong nationwide lockdown starting at 6 am Tuesday, a day after the country reported the second COVID-19 case in a 19-year-old student who had returned from France via Qatar. The first case was reported in January but it was later declared recovered.

But over the last few days, three more positive COVID-19 cases have been reported. And, today only a 34 yrs old man died in the quarantine of Butwan Coronavirus special hospital. Though his sample has been sent to Kathmandu for the test and it’s not yet confirmed for the corona positive.

Countries worldwide have been practising lockdown as a precautionary measure against the spread of the virus, as restrictions on movement help break the transmission chain for the virus.

Here are some photos were taken by the Online Khabar Hub photographers from different parts of the Kathmandu Valley on the sixth day of lockdown.
